LERO Masterclasses

The LERO Capacity Building Project is a national project funded by the Office of Health Improvement & Disparities (OHID) to support the development and sustainability of Lived Experience Recovery Organisations (LEROs). CLERO are working in conjunction with the project and our Connectors and members have been involved in the delivery and participation in Masterclasses, the Mentor programme and developing resources. 

In the second Masterclass video, we look at Asset Mapping, Co-Design and Co-delivery. All important elements of LERO building and development, this presentation features information, tips and plenty of experiences of why this is a key feature of LERO development, and how to introduce it.

In Masterclass 4, we look at the essential elements of employing people. LEROs often start out as small, volunteer groups of peers before becoming small organisations of employees. As with starting any business, this can be a challenge for anyone, particularly people with little to no experience of employing others, before. Learn how to implement the essential elements of employing people, and hear experience from other LEROs who have been through this process

This Masterclass explores what lived experience, healing and recovery looks like with and without the exploration and recognition of a person's culture and individuality. Hosted by LERO leaders and cultural strategists, this is the sixth session in the series.

Learn how LEROs develop people while growing from volunteer-roots to thriving, peer-led organisations. Often employing people who came to the organisation for support, careful, practical personal development techniques support people who may have faced multiple challenges in sustaining employment, into valuable staff.
